Weaving Without a Loom: 3 project course Feb. April 2027

If you are interested in using these classes as an entry point to any form of weaving, taking this course will serve you well. With each new project you will build on the skills and vocabulary you learned in the last. At the end you will have an understanding of several concepts and skills basic to weaving such as constructing warp-faced or weft-faced textile, tension management and pre-warping preparation. 

Aside from the physical projects you make, you will walk away from these classes with the knowledge and vocabulary to continue self-directed learning. For each project, you will receive eight hours of in-class instruction and work time, split over two meetings.

These are all introductory classes. Each project will build on the last, but you may take any class individually with no prerequisites or experience required.

Feb 6 &13,  Introduction to Tapestry: Simple Landscape

March 6 &13, Introduction to Finger Weaving

April 3 &10, Introduction to Tablet Weaving

Refund policy

Full payment is required at the time of registration to reserve your place in the class. If you are unable to attend, please notify us in writing by email. 

We require a minimum of 1 week notice to exchange or cancel, and refunds will be issued as follows:

1 weeks or more notice prior to first class = eligible for a refund or credit to future class if available 

Less than 1 week notice = eligible for  credit to future class if available  or 50% refund 

48 hours notice or less = no refund. 

Late arrivals, missed sessions, or no-shows are not eligible for a refund or credit. If we need to cancel due to low enrolment or any other reason, we will provide a minimum of 3 days notice and offer a full refund.
